The Full Scale Exercise (FSE), which is going to be the climax of the project, will take place in Szabolcsveresmart, Hungary, between 3 and 7 April 2017.
The FSE will simulate a joint multi-module operation on Rétközi tó, involving the modules and experts of the partner beneficiaries as well as a number of local residents to collaborate (local stakeholder group, schools) and participate in the project as role-players.
The cooperation exercise is made up of three segments – Table Top Exercise (TTE), Command Post Exercise (CPE) and Full Scale Exercise (FSE) – which provide a complex opportunity of mutual preparation for real disaster event. The aim of the exercise is to test operational concepts, interoperability amongst five participating countries and common and equal base decision-making, to exercise procedures of the Mechanism and deployment of exercise teams and equipment, and particularly the use of relevant Commission services such as Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC), all in real time and in realistic setting.
The total planned numbers of participants are 300-350 persons. Participating modules and units will be able to test their cooperation abilities, capacities and procedures regarding all the phases of a real life deployment (alerting, mobilization, travel, border crossing, coordination, command, self-support, deployment, reporting and demobilisation).
